I bow before Your presence
Where my gaze can finally rest
To worship You in this world
With a view of what comes next
The worries of this world
Fade quickly when I see
The time spent here vs. Eternity
Oh this causes me to pause
For want to deeply think
That life on Earth is nothing more
Than the time it takes to blink
What then is Life about?
What can it really be?
But the greater purpose that God has for me…
(Which is to)
CHORUS:
With all my heart and soul and might
And do the same to all
In whom You equally delight
What good is it to one
To gain the wide world whole
At the end when all is said and done
Be a lost and empty soul?
I place before Your feet
The things that come between
The plans You have in store for me
From a life that’s just routine
I pray complacency
Flees quickly when I see
What great a sacrifice You made for me
(For this I)
Chorus
I kneel before your throne
Submit my time spent here on Earth
For my life is Yours and not my own
To proclaim what You are worth
The beauty of this world
Though be great, is far too small
Compared to the One who gave it all
(And so I)
Chorus
Now I yield before Your Will
That my heart may be set free
To prepare me not just for this world
But Life that’s yet to be
Then the measure of who You are
I might hope to comprehend
In that place just full of joy
And with all time that has no end!
(There I’ll)
ENDING: (variant of chorus)
With all my heart and soul and mind
And join with the redeemed
In prayer that no one’s left behind
For what good is it to one
To gain the wide world whole
At the end when all is said and done
Be a lost and empty soul?
